American Hard Maple
Trade Name American Hard Maple
Description Hard Maple has a fine and uniform texture. The wood is heavy, strong, stiff, and exhibit good resistant to shock.
Color Hard Maple has color range from pale cream to golden cream color. Overtime, the color will change from pale/white cream to golden cream color. The wood may have olive or greenish black discolored areas known as mineral streak or mineral stain.
Stability Low Stability. Hard Maple is less stable than Red Oak. It is important that the engineered floors are properly equalized prior to installation. Once installed, relative humidity between 35% and 65% must be maintained to minimize movement. In a very dry climates Hard Maple is prone to shrinkage.
